Homeless Veterans

Good Day,

The following message relates to our Homeless Veterans Strategy.  It is requested that you disseminate this email and attachments to all RCMP Veterans' Associations:

The RCMP is committed to working with Veterans Affairs Canada to support Canadian Armed Forces veterans and former RCMP members who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.  If any RCMP officer becomes aware of someone who falls into this client group, he/she is asked to contact VETS Canada at 1-888-228-3871. VETS Canada is a federally registered not-for-profit group of volunteers who will work directly with Canada's homeless and at-risk veterans to facilitate their transition from the streets back into a productive lifestyle. VETS Canada volunteers are located throughout the country and will meet the homeless or at-risk veteran where he/she is located - whether on the street or at a homeless shelter.

For more information, please refer to attached VETS Canada pamphlet.
